Cole is a drifter. She was born in Japan to Italian merchants who couldn't afford to bring her back with them. Various caregivers raised her, but for the most part she had to fend for herself as she was passed between towns and guardians. She often joined with street boys in battle games, and came to enjoy swordplay. Before long she had entered the Samurai Duelers League, looking to take her skills to the next level.

Cole has a mild outlook on life, taking most everything in stride. She is not easily excited. Only higher intensity activities such at fighting pique her interest (and it doesn't always show). Calm, relaxed, and pleasant, Cole breezes through each day with little concern. She is a firm believer in personal space, both physical and spiritual, and resents those who cause trouble for herself or others. Cole wants to be world Renowned for her skills, if something irritates her to the point of anger then mercy be on the soul that caused it.
For the most part she tries not to stress out over things she can do nothing about, thus she's easygoing and a little airheaded.
